On Eurostar trains, pets are generally not allowed except for registered guide or assistance dogs. These dogs must be trained by one of the official organisations:
- Assistance Dogs (UK)
- The International Guide Dog Federation
- Assistance Dogs International
When travelling to or from the UK, you will be required to show documentation for your guide or assistance dog. Please ensure that you bring the required documents with you to avoid any issues during your journey.

Pets on Eurostar Routes:
While pets are not allowed on trains to and from London, or on the Eurostar Sun and Snow routes, they are welcome on all other routes between Belgium, France, Germany, and the Netherlands, subject to the following conditions:
- Small Domestic Animals: Animals weighing less than 6kg can travel for free in a carrier (max. 45 x 30 x 25 cm). They should remain in the carrier for the duration of the journey and must travel on your lap or at your feet.
- Larger Dogs: If your dog does not fit in a carrier, you must purchase a special “dog” fare ticket, which costs a single price of €30. Please speak to the Train Manager to purchase the ticket. Your dog must be leashed, muzzled, and travel on the floor or on your lap.
- Guide Dogs and Assistance Dogs: Guide dogs, assistance dogs, and cats always travel free of charge on Eurostar and do not need a ticket.
Important Information:
- Before traveling with a pet, please check that other passengers around you are comfortable with your pet's presence. If anyone is nervous, the Train Manager will assist you in finding an alternative seat.
- Dangerous dogs, wild animals, and birds (e.g., parrots, canaries) are not permitted on Eurostar trains.
